Participants will learn about ecology, ecosystems, biodiversity, heritage, sustainable building practices, gardening and other ways to interact with the natural world. Focus is on cooperation and creative practices to enhance understanding of practical sustainability activities and bringing these into classroom. Participants will use the outdoors to integrate curriculum areas such as:

● History - awareness of human adaptation & resilience, heritage skills for modern ecological use

● Science - living things, biodiversity

● Art - construction, natural materials

● SPHE - taking care of yourself/others - why humans depend on nature

● SESE/SPHE - Taking care of the environment

 The booking fee is non-refundable. All Summer Courses qualify for EPV days provided you complete the full course over 5 days. Blackrock Education Centre has the right to cancel a course if we DO NOT have the minimum numbers required.
