  2. Facilitate teachers so as to allow them to be confident in creating, designing and utilising a garden as an educational learning tool.
  3. Give teachers an introduction to design, set-out, construction and planting so that they can utilise their school garden for maximum effect, across curricula and in play.
  4. Make teachers feel equipped to create a functional planting plan that will enable multiple uses of the garden throughout the school year.
  5. Use the construction and design of the school garden to incorporate maths and literacy skills as well as science, geography, SPHE and school self-evaluation.
  6. Show teachers how its plants and environment can encourage wildlife to be present in order to facilitate observation and discussion.
  7. Show teachers how to utilise the produce from the garden to engage students in active learning for life-cycles, nutrition and environmental awareness.
  8. Give teachers the confidence to use produce from the garden throughout the year to create simple, healthy food that encourages students to assess their diets and lifestyles.
  9. Facilitate teachers to create data from School Self Evaluation questionnaires and surveys on type and use of school garden whilst involving parents, students and teachers.
  10. Help teachers to trouble shoot issues in their current school gardens and help them to create a new, updated yearly plan for the garden, both sensory and production.
