19LC 10 016 - 21st Century Problem Solving in the Classroom

To Celebrate EU Code 5th - 20th October we are putting on this 2.5 hour Workshop on Monday 14th October 4.00 - 6.30pm

Participants will explore a combination of “offline” and “online” tasks that will focus on the development of pupils’ problem solving abilities.  The workshop will introduce teachers to the use of STEM-focused manipulatives such as Lego WeDo, Bee-Bots and Spheros which can be incorporated into teaching, learning and assessment from the infant classroom up to sixth class. While primarily focusing on problem solving skills and coding for mathematics, this course will also look at ways that 21st century problem solving methodologies can be used in a variety of other curricular areas.
