19LC 04 004 - New RE - Junior Cycle Religious Education Specification - Workshop

With the advent of the new Religious Education Specification for first year students in Sept 2019, this workshops looks at Strand 1, where students are required ‘explore the presence of religious themes in contemporary culture through an examination of art, music, literature or film’. This workshop will offer guidelines and suggestions on how this might be approached, with suggested resources appropriate for first year students and beyond.  Part of the approach on the night will involve use of IT, so participants are encouraged to bring their own devices, though a limited number of PCs will be available at the centre.
