Dublin Bay Biosphere Award

Roderick O’Gorman, Minister for Children recently launched the Dublin Bay Biosphere Award which has been developed in partnership with scouting Ireland. The award offers young people, scout and non-scout the opportunity to connect with nature, learn about its processes and take action to help safeguard it for generations to come. In doing these activities young people will be able to earn the Biosphere Award, a badge which can be sewn onto school bags, jackets or scout uniforms. More details are available on the Dublin Bay Biosphere website, see here, which includes links to a series of videos which explain the programme and share ideas for its completion.

Dean Eaton, Dublin Bay Biosphere Coordinator, is happy to work with any school wanting to get involved.

Please contact Dean directly at the email address below, should you wish to discuss this with him.
