Irish Food from A - Z , Author Vanessa Woods
A NEW SCIENCE-BASED AND CURRICULUM-LINKED EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS Irish Food, From A-Z is a book of poems that tells the story of Irish farming, food culture and health. It celebrates nutritious Irish food and the love of farming in Ireland. As a resource, this book enables some of the more difficult concepts to be grasped by students of a younger age, so that they have an introduction to the concepts of soil, plant, animal, dental, human and environmental health as key and interlinked components of the food value chain, in an age appropriate way.
A number of free copies of this book were delivered to all schools last week.
The INTO’s InTouch magazine has an article featuring it in its November issue.
The author, Vanessa Woods, is facilitating a webinar to highlight how to access and use the book and the additional online teacher resource on Tuesday 1st December 2020 at 7PM (Please bring a copy of the book to the webinar)
