Viva España! We backed a winner for the World Cup! Our colleague Adela Fernández can be seen celebrating as she holds the trophy which we borrowed for the day!
Blackrock Education Centre wasn't entirely neutral during the World Cup. In the absence of an Irish team we were backing Spain - a pity they didn't meet France! Our team captain Adela Fernández can be seen holding the trophy.
Alongside Adela are two Hispanophiles, Director Séamus Cannon and Mark Fennell, our good friend of the past number of years. Mark has played a key role in School Development Planning in our area most recently as a member of the SLSS team. He is returning to school as principal of St. Raphaela's in Stillorgan and we wish him well as he takes up the reins there.
