- This series of three 2 hour workshop is designed to highlight the importance of the explicit teaching of Comprehension Strategies in a cross-curricular way. Participants will be enabled to: Become familiar with a range of comprehension strategies Reflect upon and share best practice Examine a range of assessment tools Select appropriate resources Dates: 1st, 8th and 15th May 2012

- Project Maths - Evening
- Strands 3 & 4: Number and Algebra The course will focus on new elements of the syllabus, methodology and provide student centred activities. This course will cover topics from Junior and Leaving Certificate. All attendances will be certified.

- The National Strategy "Literacy and Numeracy for Learning and Life" requires all schools to engage in a process of self evaluation towards putting in place a 3 year improvement plan for literacy and numeracy. Primary school participants are asked to choose either an AM or PM slot

- Introducing Aistear: The Early Childhood Curriculum Framework
- Roman Civilisation and Latin Phase 2
- This course is suitable for beginners or for those wishing to refresh their latin studies or their knowledge of roman civilisation. The class format will be the same as for the previous classes during February 2012. New members are most welcome.
- PE for Infants Workshop
- An insight workshop on how to adapt PE lessons so that they are based at a suitable level for infants. The workshop will present you with a range of games and ideas to develop infants fundamental skills
